Ok this is a big thing for meI have never danced in public apart from the odd drunken fumble with a pole, anyway there is a local talent comp which would be a good way of getting me used to it thing is i have absolutly no confidence and im scared i ll freeze get everything wrong and make a right dick of my self.So anyone felt like i have? how did you conqure it ? any sort of magic that can be perfomed to make me get over this lol? OMG, Leanne, if you are not ready for this then the world has gone mad. You completely kick ass! I am really nervous when I do stuff in public - for me, making sure I know the routine, but also know emergency moves in case I muck up, makes me feel much more confident. Sometimes I think you don't realise just how good you are!!! DO IT. | ||||

I know its mad i really want to, its all in my head and i know that if i dont do it i will regreat it, i know if i do it it will do me good if you get what i mean i just scared i ll be that nervous i ll fall on my arse or something

The first one is always the worsed one. Once you get that done you will find out what the buzz feels like, its all worth it.
Also being nervous only means you care about your performance, so nerves are a good thing. Be happy about them, dont fight them.

I suffer really badly from nerves but find that once I get going I'm ok. You could try a practice run in fromt of your mates first xx | ||||

I know exaclty how you feel! before performing I'm never sure whether to laugh or cry its really weird!! I had some NLP before my last compeition and you know it REALLY helped!!!! maybe look into it x x | ||||

Thanx for advice im just waiting too see if they will allow me to put my pole up all they have is a scaffold pole and i aint dancing on that, so finger crossed

Seriously lady i watch your videos on youtube and you are great!! GO for it!!! You are bound to feel nervous but once you get past your first move/trick you forget about the nerves and you will enjoy it i bet!! Do it do it!!!!

Neuro linguinstic programning. (but spelt better) Its reprogramning your brain to think better for you, getting rid of bad thought patterns, habits,ect. Can also be used by norty salesmen types to influence others, LOL |

Im sure Annie knows more, but its a bit like seeing a hypnotherapist. Derren Brown also uses it in his shows. He has been using it for several years to make us think he is straight. ***** |

Its different to hynosis, it doesnt put you under and it does actually work, where as hypnosis doesnt work on everyone.
I had it done and the guy just sort of chats to you and if doesnt feel like anything happens but I went from being nervous as HELL do really looking forward to the comp!! I would highly recommend it to anyone! If your interested fairy I can give you the number of the guy in Hereford, he is awesome!! x x x |
